Probate Litigation

I represent both personal representatives and other family members and creditors before probate courts across the state in estate disputes, including the removal of personal representatives, interpretation of wills and intestate laws of succession, distribution of assets, breach of trust/fiduciary duty, and challenging the validity of trust agreements and other estate planning documents.

Real Estate Litigation/Quiet Title Actions

I handle various types of real estate litigation cases, including confirming tax sales through quiet title actions, resolving disputes between heirs, filing complaints for adverse possession, and representing landlords in ejectments and other matters.Quiet title actions are often necessary because real property may change hands often, and it is not always easy to determine who has title to the property. I also help clients establish easements, define ownership interests through partition actions, and clear up clouds in chains-of-title that can prevent you from selling your property now or in the future.

Probate Administration

I have worked with probate courts across the state in nearly twenty years of practice and can assist you with probate administration in the event of the loss of a loved one, filing a creditor’s claim on an estate, transferring estate assets, filing for a determination of heirs, filing for an elective or omitted share for a spouse or child, or generally ensuring a smooth transfer of assets and administration process overall.  I can also assist with estate planning on a limited basis.
